REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationIt takes the average worker in the United States 26 minutes to travel to work. One way to fix long commutes would be to make cities more affordable. An even simpler option: promote the use of telework. How have you used technology to replace in-person meetings or work this year?
Yvette Collins 10/29/2024 10:44 AMSome of our team members are still hybrid. The work from home (telework) option served a great purpose during the pandemic, as we used technology to still meet and see each other using programs like Zoom or MS Teams. We were also able to have continuity of business and continue to provide excellent Customer Service to our clients. -
Yvette Collins 10/28/2024 9:21 AMEarly Morning on the way into the office. The sky was so clear and the moon still visible at 7am in the morning. I love this time of day. A fresh New Start to a Beautiful Day. Unlimited Possibilities!

REFLECTION QUESTIONNatureKathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How can we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?
Yvette Collins 10/25/2024 3:13 PMGratitude meaning: the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
We should cultivate this feeling everyday, purposely. We all face various challenges, but there is ALWAYS something to be Grateful for. If we take the time to look at our lives, family, work life, co-workers and Friends - we see that we are truly blessed.
As a society, the freedoms and opportunities we are afforded in this country, in comparison to some others, is a great reminder to be Grateful and Thankful. And we want to share with others, who may not be as fortunate. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteField trip! What a fun way to learn about our impact and consumption! What facility did you tour? What did you learn?
Yvette Collins 10/24/2024 3:37 PMI watched a virtual tour of our local Waste and recycle center in Napa, CA.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow do you deal with the physical and emotional stress of the big problems we face? How can you help others cope?
Yvette Collins 10/18/2024 9:03 AMI find the best way to manage the stress of life, is prayer, meditation and solitude. However, it varies for many people, it also is very therapeutic to discuss issues with a trusted friend or family member, as a release. I try to be available to family, friends and co-workers if they need vent or share issues they are facing. Sometime having someone to listen helps. -
Yvette Collins 10/17/2024 9:53 AMSpent some time this morning outside. As I went out for an Appointment, I noticed the Old Naval Ships in the Naval yard at the Benicia Bridge (Suisun Bay). These decommissioned ships have been sitting out there in the bay for years. Thought I would just share a picture and an article about this location. Pretty interesting story. Due to the environmental problems, they are withdrawing the ships for scrapping. So the fleet has reduced in size tremendously, there appears to be just 4 or 5 ships in the bay at the time of this photo.
