I will switch to washing my clothes in cold water, saving up to 1,600 lbs of CO2 over the course of the next year.
I will save up to 6 gallons (23 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.
I will keep lights, electronics, and appliances turned off when not using them.
I will find out what food programs are in my area and donate food and/or other items that they request.
If at all possible, I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases.
I will de-clutter, clean, and donate or recycle unneeded items in my home.
I will spend 30 minutes reading the Ecochallenge feed each day and giving high fives or commenting on posts by people who I don't know, but whose content inspires or interests me.
I will improve a bus stop in my neighborhood by posting the stop schedule, adding seating or shelter, adding art or flowers, picking up litter, or some other small improvement.
I will make sure I’m registered to vote. While I’m at it, I’ll sign up to help others register too!
I will share my Ecochallenge story and why I'm taking action for the planet.
