Hassnain Khan 10/16/2024 10:20 AMI'd like to invest more time reflecting on how my actions align with my core values and how they impact the people and environment around me. By focusing on mindfulness, I can ensure that my daily choices are intentional and contribute positively to both my personal growth and the community.

REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityWhat would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?
Karishma Johnson-Lal 10/16/2024 9:50 AMI think through meditating, I should work more on coming back to myself. I've got a lot of things going on, so it is easy to get caught up in the things around me. So meditating to come back to myself would give me more energy :). -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Karishma Johnson-Lal 10/14/2024 10:51 AMThe seemingly simple act of switching my perspective to a less negative one, inspires me to do more positive actions. To me it's like receiving bad versus good news. If you are constantly receiving bad news, then of course it'll be harder to do good things. The same principal applies to always thinking negatively, and focusing on gratitude can counter that. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicitySocial media can keep us connected with loved ones, make us laugh, and help us to learn new things. It can also take more time than we realize or intend to give. After doing this action for a few days, how do you feel? What do you notice?
Karishma Johnson-Lal 10/07/2024 12:13 PMI've been limiting my social media use for a while, but now that I'm really tracking it, I realize that I was still spending more time than I thought. I still find myself mindlessly opening social media, but I also realize that there are times that when I think about scrolling, I get stressed. Which to me is an obvious change that my body's realized the ill effects of social media. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNatureRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Karishma Johnson-Lal 10/03/2024 12:10 PM100 precent I feel that nature is vital to our spiritual and emotional development. I think that when we spend a lot of our time inside, it's easy to lose sight of ourselves, and get caught up in everything happening around us, instead of staying grounded in the moment. -
Karishma Johnson-Lal 9/25/2024 8:56 AMI think I need to make a reminder somewhere so that I won't forget to do any of the actions I chose :).-
