This challenge has also made more conscious about the thermostat in my home. Hopefully that will be reflected on my next month's bill :)

I didn't realize how many water bottles I had been saving until this Eco challenge! It's crazy how one small thing a day can help out the environment.

This has kept me consistent on my daily walks this month and the doggos sure do appreciate it more also!

We are going to the farmers market this weekend but since this is over today, I thought I would share. There is a really awesome smaller one over near King City if anybody is interested!

I finally had my first doctor appointment! Yay! I go back in November and on Monday I have my first actual dentist appointment in about 8 years, so I am very excited for that, I am a huge fan of the dentist. Anybody else?

We have been exploring around a lot lately since we are moving and took a nice little walk around the neighborhood and parks to see some locations.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste
Our ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors, including market demand for recyclables. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?

We are moving soon, and we found a local place that would take a lot of items that would otherwise have to be taken to the dump!

I actually usually always wash my clothes in cold water, also to protect them from shrinking and colors blending but also it does help save on our water bill as well.

I just started doing this about a year ago myself. I automatically thought my washer knew what was best for my clothes depending on the setting, but once I learned that cold water is best for making clothes last longer, I started doing just that! This helps with water consumption and the energy used to clean our laundry. With a family of 5, my laundry is daily and never seems to end!
      Way to go! :)

That's a great idea, and I think the warmer water makes very little difference in cleaing.
