You'll be an The People's Ecochallenge 2024 expert in no time!
"I will connect with nature every day and teach my grandchildren how important it is to take care of the earth."
I will repair at least one item that is broken, but is repairable. This might be items like garden tools, sewing machine, small appliances, electronics, clothing, and more.
I will spend 10 minutes reading the Ecochallenge feed each day and giving high fives or commenting on posts by people who I don't know, but whose content inspires or interests me.
I will plant 2 trees in my community, public parks, or backyard.
I will take a walk each day.
I will de-clutter, clean, and donate or recycle unneeded items in my home.
I will create a rain garden or bioswale or use rain barrels to collect water for outdoor watering needs.
I will explore at least one new hiking trail or nature walk in my area.
I will spend 60 minutes learning about sustainable fashion and begin trying to practice it in my own life.
I will try a new method of food preparation, such as canning, pickling, or baking bread.
I will spend 15 minutes per day outside, practicing gratitude (prayer, meditation, journaling, etc.) for Earth and my natural surroundings.
I made my own compost bin which saved me a lot of money and repurposed a bin that would have otherwise been sent to a landfill.
I will eat vegan 90% of the time.
I will only use the washer and dryer once per week to cut down on my water usage.
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
I dehydrated a HUGE herb garden and am making teas that I can use to benefit my health rather than using over the counter medicine.
I'll make enough homemade remedies to last through the winter.
